    Léon Lhermitte was born in the village of Mont-Saint-Père. To highlight this famous character, a number of events will be held throughout 2025 to mark the 100? anniversary of his death.

    The Mont-Saint-Père Town Hall program:
    - from May: A free walk in the village to follow your easel.
    - may 31, June 1-6-7-8: travelling shows in costume and scripted evoking the life of the period.
    - from mid-June: an open-air exhibition of works held in museums around the world in high definition.
    - july 5/6: Exhibition of original works from the Musée Jean de La Fontaine, the Hôtel Dieu and private collections.
    - july 6: Rural life and the belle époque. Relive the belle époque with horse-drawn carriage rides, old-fashioned games, fireworks and a period dance.
    - september 20/21: Free exhibition of paintings and photos on the theme of "In the footsteps of Léon Lhermitte".
    - october 11: lecture on the painter's life.
    - november: closing of the year with the inauguration of a mural.
