In a whimsical rereading of the Book of Genesis, where the Garden of Eden can turn into a strip club at any moment, Ève Magot explores the founding myths of our societies and the limits of our socionormative thinking.

Genesis can then begin again, be rewritten, transmuted, to be told from the side of identities left on the margins. At the crossroads of choreographic performance and the experience of poetic writing, Jardin futur is an invitation to invest time and space collectively. Through poetry and sharing, the artist composes micro-worlds in which new narrative forms can emerge: the story of a mutation of the self that resonates with trans-identity. The piece sheds light on the paradoxes of representing bodies and identities on the margins, made hyper-visible at the heart of a debate that, in the end, invisibilizes. Here, we expose ourselves unvarnished, in order to transform "shit into a lush garden", to quote Ève Magot's raw poetry.
