Monument de Priez

While all those who lost their lives in the 2 World Wars are honored on war memorials in towns and villages across the Sussex region, the Royal Sussex Regiment had no memorial in France, until the erection of the one at Priez, in 2014. The monument, made of Portland stone and Indian black granite, was sculpted and erected by Simon Buchanan, a master sculptor and stonemason from Kingston-upon-Thames.
