The American Monument was donated by our allies during the First World War as a sign of French-American friendship. Inaugurated in 1937 and built by Franco-American architect Paul Cret, it commemorates the help given by our American allies during the battles that affected Château-Thierry. To mark the centenary of the Armistice, the Visitor Center was opened. It opens onto a 200 m² space in the depths of the Monument. A visit punctuated by images, interactive terminals and period material that will take you to the heart, so that you don't forget. Open 9am to 8pm, year-round. 10am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 5pm, year-round.
