1.

The Castle of Fère

The castle of Fère-en-Tardenois has left magnificent remains.

Nested on its plateau, it impresses with its grandeur and imposing silhouette.
Being built on a slight slope, the castle is protected by a ditch 20 meters deep.

In 1533, Anne de Montmorency demolished part of the castle and left only what remains today, the towers and the entrance gate. He also built the bridge visible today with its five arcades in the antique style.
These ruins reveal a building that has been manipulated many times but is still superb.

2.

Camille and Paul Claudel Museum

Located in the heart of a serene environment, bordered by forest and vineyards, the place was predestined.

For Paul, who would become a great dreamer, lover of nature and words, and for Camille, who was inspired for her models.

Paul was the first model of his sister, the sculptor Camille Claudel, to whom he was very close. She depicts him as a child at thirteen, then at sixteen, as a young Roman, at twenty and finally at thirty-seven. This sculpture is on display at the Maison Natale de Camille et Paul Claudel.
