A destination in its own right.
We welcome those looking to spend a few days in an authentic, simple and comfortable house, on the banks of a river in a quiet rural village in the Champagne region... We are not looking for luxurious decoration, although the house and rooms are full of art and each room has its own private bathroom and toilet. The riverside terrace is superb for breakfast and relaxation.
The landscapes of the Marne and Surmelin valleys, with their vineyards, fields and forests, invite you to walk, cycle, motorcycle or drive along the heritage of churches, castles, medieval buildings and the memory of the great wars.
On request, we can prepare a simple, home-cooked evening meal for you, or recommend a fine local restaurant? We welcome dogs, provide parking for bikes and motorcycles, a charging station (7kwh) for electric vehicles, and the house and one bedroom are wheelchair accessible.
We have deliberately chosen an artistic atmosphere, unique jewelry and homemade leather goods... We try to make everyone feel welcome, and we love "equality, fraternity & liberty". We accept people as they are, and expect you to be tolerant, open-minded, non-judgmental and let everyone "be"... Whatever letter of "HLGBTQIA+" you belong to, we'll take care of you. We speak English, French, Dutch and German to get in touch with as many people as possible.
