La Hottée du Diable

The sandstone chaos of the Hottée du Diable, a remnant of the time when the sea covered the Picardy lands, exudes a strange atmosphere. The echoes of the wood and the murmur of the wind in the foliage resound like a distant druidic psalmody or like an invitation from some fairies or elves to discover a site with an exceptional heritage: 190 species of plants and 38 bird species have been recorded there.
