During the inter-war period, he joined forces with Raymonde Bédel. Both of them owned some vineyard land, but it was not until 1947 that they began to make their champagne in two oak barrels and to market 500 bottles a year.
They take on the status of Harvester-Manipulator and will be pioneers in the region.
In 1960, their son Bernard joined them on the farm with his wife Lydie.
For 50 years, father and son bought, traded and planted vines. The family business continues to grow.
Today, the estate covers 14 hectares and sells an annual quantity of 120,000 bottles, mainly to private customers.
Since 1990, it is Eric, Robert's grandson and a qualified oenologist, who has been elaborating the different vintages. He was joined by his wife Isabelle when his parents retired in 2004.
Currently, Eric and Isabelle run the company together with the support of their team.
