Fables et champagne

An itinerary of flowing water and sparkling wines in the footsteps of Jean de La Fontaine. The latter was a good walker and of spiritual temperament. One can guess that he found in the bucolic footsteps of his forestry charge the inspiration for many of his verses. Marked by well-preserved villages (millstone houses, churches, fountains, wash houses) and champagne cellars, this circuit can be seen at a glance from the American memorial at Hill 204. In three days, you go up the wine valleys of the Marne and Surmelin rivers, enjoying wide views of the relief effects of the landscape.
